The Lessons section of the application allows you to create lessons for each of the module and generate, edit and add the content of the Lesson Specifications (LSpecs). This guide will help you navigate the Lessons page, perform essential tasks, and understand the various features available.

Navigating the Lessons Screen

  1. The Lessons screen allows you to create lessons and generate content for the LSpecs. The data is generated for each lesson in turn in a similar way that the KLPs are generated. Once all of the data has been produced, you can download LSpecs and ‘Strawman’ Lesson Plans.

Creating Lessons

  1. Lessons are created per module. The lessons screen will indicate if there are any KLPs to be placed into lessons. You can generate lessons in three ways:
    1. Generate a Set Number of Lessons: Enter the number of lessons that you wish to generate per module.
    2. Generate Lessons: You can generate the lessons automatically by clicking on the generate lessons button. This function is currently only available for a module that contains less than 70 KLPs due to the limitations of current LLMs.
    3. Add Lesson: You can add lessons manually by selecting add lessons and manually selecting each KLP to be contained within the lesson.

  1. Once you have generate all of you lessons for the module you can begin to generate the data for the Learning Specifications (LSpecs).

Editing Lesson Content

  1. Once you have created the lessons, you are able to delete KLPs from individual lessons and add them to existing lessons or create new lessons.

  2. To edit lessons, add the interest, need and summary paragraphs, to conduct and method and media analysis and add various data elements for the LSpec, click on the three dots next to the lesson title and select the required function.

  1. To add the interest, need and summary paragraphs for the LSpec, click on the INS option and in turn click on each of the Generate Buttons and Schema will create the paragraphs for the LSpec. The paragraphs can be edited by clicking in the text box and making the edits required.

  1. To create method and media recommendations for each lesson, select the M&M option in the drop down menu. Click the generate button to create three methods and media options. Once you have generated the options, click the preferred method to capture the option you have chosen.

Adding information to the LSpec

  1. You can add further details to the LSpecs, such as administration, resources and links to ensure that the LSpecs contain all of the relevant data. Select the required element from the lesson drop down menu.

  1. Firstly, select the lesson that you wish to create the LSpec and Lesson Plan for.
